My name is Sara and I am the person behind Cridhe Counselling. The word Cridhe is a Scottish Gaelic word which means “Heart, Core and Courage” and I believe that these words are not just key for you as a client but for me as a counsellor too. I work with clients to help them get to the heart of what is on their mind. It is a privilege to sit alongside my clients as they courageously share their story and work towards their chosen goals.

I have a strong focus on working with women of all ages and stages of life who have reached a point where they need a confidential space to talk, process and find their way forward into the next season of their life. I work with people who lie awake at night worrying, who feel overwhelmed by work, relationships with others, everyday tasks, or who feel they have lost touch with who they are and can’t move on from the past.

I have worked with young people, parents and families for 28 years both as a teacher and also as a foster carer.

There is no one “right way” for us to do this and it’s always my goal for us to find a way that works for you and that makes you feel empowered and ready to move forward.
