It is important to find the right counsellor for you and there are many types of counselling. Integrative counselling combines different therapeutic techniques and theories to create a personalized approach, recognising that no single method fits everyone. I focus on viewing the client as a whole and tailoring tools to their unique emotional, cognitive, behavioural, and physiological needs for holistic, effective support.
I have trained in several different modalities and work with each client to use the right ones for them, always ensuring that the client feels comfortable with the approach.
I have training in several modalities. These include:
Person Centred Counselling
Psychodynamic Counselling
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Existential Therapy

Counselling online and in-person. These sessions take place weekly and are usually reviewed every 5-6 weeks to ensure that we are on track, and your goals are being met through counselling. Each session lasts 50 minutes.
Single session counselling takes place online and is one session lasting 1.5 hours long. The goal is to help the client resolve or make significant progress on a specific, immediate problem within a single, focused meeting.
Clients complete a questionnaire before we meet. This helps to identify and agree on a specific, manageable goal to address.
We then work together to identify and use your existing strengths to address the problem. The session concludes with a clear, actionable, and practical plan.
A follow-up phone call then takes place 3-4 weeks later to check on progress.

I have a gentle and supportive approach. I work hard to create a space where you can be yourself without judgement and where we can work together to achieve your goals. I offer online and in person sessions.
In-person sessions take place at Meadowside Health in Marchmont. Located centrally in Edinburgh, near the Meadows, the clinic on Marchmont Road has good public transport links as well as on street parking. The counselling room is on street level and is an accessible and tranquil space for therapy sessions.
Where do the sessions take place?
